Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, referred to as "Sichuan Fine Arts Institute", is located in Chongqing, a central municipality directly under the Central Government. It is the only higher art institution in Southwest China and has the right to award master's degrees. The school is one of the 31 independent higher art colleges in China, one of the eight major art academies in China, a first-class discipline construction university in Chongqing, and a national demonstration university for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education.
It has 9 second-level colleges, 22 undergraduate majors, 1 postdoctoral research station, 4 first-level discipline master’s degree authorization points, and 2 professional master’s degree authorization points; it has 628 full-time teachers.
