Can you beat Toyota Honda? Detailed explanation of DHT technology of great wall motor lemon hybrid power

Recently, Great Wall Motor lemon hybrid DHT was released. DHT can be understood as a special gearbox for hybrid power, similar to Toyota's E-CVT. Although it is similar to a gearbox, it is actually completely different from the traditional gearbox structure. The Great Wall DHT has built-in dual motors, one generating and one driving, and two-speed transmission mechanism.

Great Wall Motor lemon hybrid DHT system is a hybrid technology system based on "seven-in-one" efficient multi-mode hybrid, including 1.5L/ 1.5T hybrid special engine, fixed-axis gearbox, GM/TM dual motors, dual-motor controller and integrated DCDC.

The system also adopts a two-motor series-parallel topology structure, which can realize EV, series, parallel, energy recovery and other working modes, and realize the balance between power and fuel consumption in various driving scenarios.

Based on DHT, Great Wall has developed three kinds of hybrid power systems, namely HEV (equivalent to Toyota twin-engine but different) two-wheel drive PHEV and four-wheel drive PHEV.

The engine has two special Atkinson cycle models, one is 1.5L self-priming and the other is1.5t. ..

Let's talk about HEV first According to the manufacturer's data, the comprehensive fuel consumption of A-class SUV is 4.6L per 100 kilometers. Compared with Toyota, Great Wall HEV not only pays attention to fuel economy, but also emphasizes power performance. The HEV architecture uses 1.8kWh battery, and the battery capacity is increased by more than 30% compared with the traditional hybrid system. The power of HEV two-drive system is the highest, which is 180kW.

The biggest feature of PHEV is that it is equipped with a large battery of 45 kWh, with a pure battery life of 200 kilometers, which can be filled with 80% in 30 minutes, and it also provides an 8-year/150,000 km long warranty. The battery is really big. Unlike other plug-in hybrid handlebars, the battery is placed on the rear axle, but like an electric car, the Great Wall puts the battery under the floor.

PHEV is divided into two versions: two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive version adds a two-speed electric drive axle, and the total power of the two-wheel drive system is 240kW. The front and rear axle motors with PHEV+P4 structure can output power at the same time, and the maximum total system power is 320kW. The climbing ability of the intelligent four-wheel drive system based on this architecture, like when the asphalt pavement is dry, reaches the maximum climbing degree of 60%-65%, bringing the maximum climbing degree 15%- 18% in the snow.

In structure, the DHT of Great Wall is similar to Honda's i-MMD, but a two-speed transmission mechanism is added. The middle and low speeds are basically driven by the motor, and the engine is only used as a generator when it is not started or started, and does not directly drive the wheels. (similar to extended range hybrid vehicle)

Only when the engine is in good working condition can the engine directly drive the wheels. The minimum speed of direct drive of different types of engines is different. As far as H6 is concerned, it is only possible for the engine to interfere with direct drive when the speed reaches or exceeds 45km/h.. When accelerating rapidly, the engine and motor are driven at the same time to obtain the best dynamic performance.

The advantage of having a two-speed transmission is that compared with the Honda i-MMD system, the Great Wall system allows the engine to participate more in driving to obtain better power performance. At the same time, the two-speed transmission also makes it easier for the engine to get efficient working conditions when participating in driving, thus achieving the purpose of saving fuel.

Therefore, in theory, this hybrid system of Great Wall is more complicated than Honda i-MMD, and it does have some advantages.

The difficulty of Great Wall system is how to perfectly coordinate the work of engine and motor. After joining the transmission mechanism, the Great Wall has to deal with more and more complicated problems than Honda.

I experienced the Haval H6 hybrid HEV version equipped with lemon hybrid DHT system at the Great Wall proving ground, equipped with 1.5T hybrid engine and DHT 130 hybrid system. (DHT is divided into two versions: 100 and 130. The difference is that the motor power is different. )

The experience of lemon hybrid DHT system prototype is summarized as follows:

1, the running smoothness of the system is very good, and the switching between electric, series, parallel and engine direct drive is smooth, and induction switching can basically be realized. This system has succeeded more than half.

2, fuel consumption performance today, there is no conditional test, if it really saves fuel, then we can convince the Great Wall to praise it;

3. Acceleration performance: I took a video of 0- 100 to accelerate the actual measurement, and (@ Lianshilu Cheshen) has been released;

4. At present, the biggest problem of this system is that the NVH of the engine has a certain room for improvement, and the vibration and noise feeling after the engine is started is greater than that of Toyota.

In addition, Great Wall Motor's hybrid car products will be listed in batches next year, and the volume will be large and the cost will be low, so the price will be friendly and not as expensive as Toyota Honda, but I am not sure which one to launch first. Let's look forward to it!
