What's the use of mechanical patents?

I am a patent agent, my personal opinion: I suggest to do patent agency work first, if you don't like it, then develop in the mechanical field. The reason for this is the following:

First, an excellent technical engineer needs to have certain patent knowledge, know how to read patent literature, and know what can and cannot be patented. Now, many enterprises are willing to apply for patents. It is easier for engineers to make inventions (especially in the mechanical field) after they have patent thinking. Enterprises that make inventions will get extra rewards, and applying for patents will help you develop in enterprises or industries. If you invent more, you will naturally be NB.

Second, patent agency work is not only to write documents, but also to learn a lot from work. In addition to the basic knowledge of patents, there are patent retrieval, patent information utilization, patent literature analysis, patent mining, patent circumvention design, triz theory and so on, which are of great benefit to scientific and technological enterprises, but enterprises are quite short of technical talents with patent knowledge.

Third, first do patent agency work for a period of time, and then go to the enterprise to do technology. Working in the patent office can quickly cultivate patent thinking and learn some patent skills. Only by working in this field can we learn more in a short time.

Fourth, don't rush to make money when you start working. It's important to learn something. If you really don't like entering the patent office, you must learn some basic knowledge of patents after entering the enterprise to do technology. I believe it will help you. In addition, I strongly recommend to you a book "Patent is the Competitiveness of Science and Technology".
