Dct and pdk of Porsche

Pdk belongs to dct, which means dual clutch gearbox. pdk is a kind of dual clutch gearbox. Pdk gearbox is jointly developed by Porsche and German ZF. Dual clutch gearbox is a common automatic gearbox, which is developed on the basis of manual gearbox. The structure of dual clutch gearbox is similar to that of manual gearbox. The dual clutch gearbox only has one more clutch and one shift control mechanism than the manual gearbox. One clutch of the dual clutch gearbox is used to control odd gears, and the other clutch is used to control even gears. Dual clutch gearbox has fast shifting speed and high transmission efficiency. There are two kinds of dual clutch gearboxes, one is dry and the other is wet. The clutch plate of dry dual-clutch gearbox is not immersed in gearbox oil, and the clutch plate of wet dual-clutch gearbox is immersed in gearbox oil. Dry dual clutch gearbox has faster shifting speed and higher transmission efficiency. Wet dual-clutch gearbox can bear higher torque, and its reliability and stability are better than dry dual-clutch gearbox. The clutch plate of wet dual-clutch gearbox relies on gearbox oil for heat dissipation, while the clutch plate of dry dual-clutch gearbox relies on air for heat dissipation. Therefore, the dry dual clutch gearbox is easy to overheat in some cases.
