In 2004, the Military Equipment Research Institute of the General Logistics Department set up a research center for military hemp materials headed by Zhang Jianchun, deputy director of the General Logistics Department, with the participation of many experts, which took the lead in completing the improvement and breeding of hemp. Since then, the center has carried out a lot of painstaking and meticulous explorations in relevant scientific research institutes within the United Nations, including special technical research on cannabis cultivation and cannabis processing. After more than five years of research, mechanical degumming equipment, flash explosion treatment equipment, biological degumming equipment, high-temperature cooking equipment, fiber separation and rinsing equipment, liquid ammonia finishing equipment, fiber grading carding equipment and related technologies have finally been successfully developed.
