1. Do you need a neck fan or not?
If you are in an air-conditioned room all day, the fan is really a useless gadget for you. The main scene of hanging neck fan is still used to cool down in crowded offices (boss X doesn't turn on the air conditioner or the air conditioner is very hot) and when going out (wearing a mask for a long time is boring).
2. Is the premium of the product you bought high?
Don't spend money on useless things. Some hanging neck fans are just superficial articles, and they can only eat ash after buying them.
In order to help you choose, I bought a test instrument and four main neck-hanging fans on the market at my own expense. I would like to share with you the main points of choosing neck-hanging fans and the horizontal comments of four products at present:
The structure of hanging neck fan is relatively simple, mainly composed of motor, fan blades, battery and shell. Let's take a look at it separately:
For the requirement of portability, neck-hanging fans usually use lithium batteries, which are divided into 18650 and polymer batteries. Here, I briefly compare the differences between the two. [ 1]
Service life: standard imported A battery 18650 can be recycled for about 500 times, ordinary polymer battery can be charged and discharged for more than 800 times, and some products with good quality can be charged and discharged for about 1200 times.
Convenience: portability mainly focuses on the weight and volume of the battery. Generally speaking, under the same capacity, the greater the energy density of the battery, the smaller the volume and weight.
In fact, there is not much difference in energy density between 18650 and polymer batteries. However, polymer batteries can be made into more shapes, so the appearance of products using polymer batteries will be more diverse, and it is easier to make beautiful shapes.
Safety: The biggest safety problem of lithium battery is explosion. The main reason for the explosion of lithium battery is the internal short circuit of the battery core during use. The short circuit will produce a large amount of high temperature and high pressure gas in a short time, and it will explode before it is released through the exhaust valve. In this regard, the performance of soft-pack lithium batteries is still very good. Compared with the metal case of 18650, the soft-packed polymer battery is easier to deflate, so even if it explodes, its power will be much smaller.
Based on this, the fan of polymer battery should be selected first.
The strength of the motor determines the wind power. At present, the mainstream motors can be divided into brush motors and brushless motors.
The main difference between them lies in the different commutation modes. Brushed motor adopts mechanical commutation, with fixed poles and rotating coils. Brushless motor adopts electronic commutation, the coil is static and the magnetic pole rotates.
Just like this, the brush motor will rub and heat up because the carbon brush slides on the connector, resulting in loss. At the same time, the carbon brush and the coil connector will be alternately turned on and off, which is easy to produce electric sparks and has potential safety hazards. The brushless motor correspondingly abandons the above shortcomings,
Therefore, when purchasing, we'd better give priority to fans equipped with brushless motors.
There are two kinds of fan blades and fan blades.
The fan with blades is basically the same as our traditional fan, but the shape is slightly changed and a flexible collar is added. Although this kind of vermicelli is cheap, it has a fatal shortcoming. (Suspected from the foundry)
As we all know, we usually put the floor fan at a distance to blow, but if we wear it around our neck, the problem will come-girls have long hair and are easily caught by the fan, which will cause certain safety problems, so I don't recommend buying this kind of fan. (None of the four fans in this evaluation belong to this type.)
And thus produced another kind of "fanless" fan.
It is worth noting that the fanless fan does not really have no blades, but the blades of the turbine are relatively small, and the fan is covered by the casing, so that you can't see the fan. At present, there are two mainstream designs:
One is to upgrade the old model, change the direction of the fan blade from horizontal to vertical, and add an anti-twisting shell outside the fan to prevent hair from being involved. For example, this model adopts this design, which is not expensive and the product price is relatively low, but the appearance of the shell also limits the size of the air outlet and the heat dissipation effect.
The other is to close the fan with a ventilation cover, and then design a special air duct for the wind. The representative of this design is Tourasse, which makes the fan blow out a larger coverage area and can drive the surrounding air to flow, thus achieving better cooling effect. However, this design requires higher standards for industrial production, which makes the product more expensive.
If the budget is sufficient, the product of "no blades+duct design" will definitely be preferred.
Different shell materials and designs determine the comfort of wearing.
Common materials are mainly "plastic" and "plastic+silica gel". All plastic models are generally fixed and cannot be adjusted. For the "plastic+silicone" model, the collar hanging around the neck is usually made of silicone, which can easily adjust the shape of the collar to make it more comfortable to wear, and can also adjust the direction of the fan to let it blow by itself.
Let me explain first. In fact, there are two kinds of fans popular in the market, one is sapphire and the other is millet. Because the structure, heart and music of these two fans are more consistent, they are not bought for efficiency (mainly poor).
However, all the best-selling models on the market can't escape these appearances, which can basically represent the mainstream neck-hanging fans at present.
Before it's too late, let me introduce the basic configuration and prices of the four products in this competition. I drew the following information from the publicity charts of various online stores and customer service outlets and made a table:
Only in terms of various parameters: several vegetarian dishes of Tourasse are made of music and quality. What's even more amazing is that the difference in parameters is magically consistent with the ranking of prices.
My ancestors didn't bully me-it's true that you get what you pay for.
Then, we conducted five tests to test the differences between different types of fans:
I will talk about the wearing experience one by one according to the order of the actual pictures of the products.
The first is the first hanging neck fan.
The pink color is beautiful, and the silicone collar is soft and comfortable to wear. However, due to the design of the air outlet, the wind direction is single and difficult to adjust, and the cooling effect may be slightly worse.
The second model is Tourasse's neck-hanging fan.
Because of the patented air duct design, this one is slightly heavier than the all-silicone product, but it doesn't feel tired to wear. The silicone attached to the back of the neck is soft and the contact surface is large, which correspondingly reduces the "scratch feeling" when touching. In addition, the air outlets designed at the top and bottom make the air outlet area larger and the measured body feel cooler.
The only regret is that the silicone collar in Tourasse is not as big as the other two models because it needs to take into account the air outlet, so it is slightly weak. If you are riding a motorcycle or playing basketball, don't wear it.
The third paragraph is Su Le.
This one is basically the same as that of boys, with a long silicone collar and two fans. However, Su Le's collar is more angular and harder, and the wearing experience is not as good as the above two models. In addition, there is a problem between his air outlet and the boy's heart, that is, the air outlet is small, so it can't be blown often, and the heat dissipation effect is not very good.
What is the last one?
Ji Shu's design is a bit like the previous generation Tourasse SE, but it abandons the most soulful silicone belt and adopts an all-plastic body design, which means that the whole fan can't bend, and for stability, the fan is surprisingly small.
For a "thick" person with a big neck like me, it's a disaster to wear. After wearing it for about two hours, I can feel a very obvious pressure on my neck, which makes me feel even worse as a patient with cervical spondylosis. It can be said that it is very uncomfortable.
However, there is also a point in this, that is, many air outlets are designed. Although it can't blow up and down like Tourasse, the blowing area on one side is larger, which makes the cooling effect better than that in Tong Xin and Su Le.
On the whole, as far as wearing comfort is concerned, Toule > Tongxin > Sule Zhizao > Ji Shu.
The endurance test really killed me, because these fans have three gears, but the endurance is marked with the minimum service time. In other words, in order to see if these fans have false propaganda, I need to keep an eye on them and record how long the fans have spent.
After I fully charged all four fans with the charger, at noon 12, I turned on the lowest gear of all fans, and then hung them on the chair to start the test.
