How many of the current Chinese car companies develop independently?

Many parts of the aircraft are also made in China. This is especially true in the automotive field. Look at Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Audi. Who produces their own tires? They are all Goodyear, Continental, Bridgestone, Michelin and so on.

Currently, mainstream car companies only manufacture a small number of auto parts in-house. They mainly choose to manufacture body parts themselves, such as large sheet metal parts such as frames, side panels, roofs, floors, etc. The main reason is that it is difficult to manufacture these sheet metal parts. First of all, one thing needs to be explained about the complete vehicle: independent research and development refers to a car company whose model has intellectual property rights or various patented technologies and completely ensures that "every screw" is independently manufactured. It does not exist; for example, Chery was once praised for making all the screws in-house. However, when it was first launched, it was claimed to be a domestic version of Sylphy. Its three major parts are from the same ancestor as Sylphy, including fuel consumption and driving comfort. The speed has indeed reached the standard of Sylphy. Dongfeng made a shell to put it on, and it has been popular for several years. Of course, the reason why Sylphy is purchased from others is not because it cannot be made by itself. This involves R&D costs, maturity, and stability. At present, domestically produced cars Including auto parts suppliers, they basically have all categories, but they are not as advanced as foreign countries. Without the development of domestically produced cars with hundreds of years of technological accumulation, it would be impossible to have the current prosperity of cars. At the same time, the quality of current cars is also very good. Mainstream domestic brands all have independent technologies, such as Geely Automobile, Changan Automobile, Haval Automobile, Chery Automobile, etc.

The only company that independently develops is Chery. The others are basically patchwork in the research and development of domestically produced cars in China and the down-to-earth construction of good cars. Chery said that no second company is qualified to be the first. Only Chery has independently developed domestically produced products, while the others are assembled. It is impossible for automobile manufacturers to produce all the parts required for their own cars, which also makes the procurement of modern automobile parts inevitably global. Naturally, car companies have become "assembly plants."
