Beiwu is the Beijing Dance Academy, located in Beijing. It is a full-time ordinary college with the main task of cultivating high-quality dance talents and studying high-level dance theory and creation. It is the first professional dance school in People's Republic of China (PRC).

The school was formerly Beijing Dance School, which was founded in 1954. 1978, with the approval of the State Council, Beijing Dance Academy was formally established, belonging to the Ministry of Culture. It was handed over to Beijing Municipal People's Government in 2000. ?

There are 12 teaching units, 1/undergraduate majors, 1 master degree authorization points for first-level disciplines,1master degree authorization categories; The school has nearly 600 faculty members, nearly 2,300 full-time students (more than 65,438 undergraduates, nearly 200 graduate students, and more than 800 affiliated middle school students), and about 7,000 students with academic education and non-academic education.
