New energy vehicles are unveiled, and "Buick Blue" adds a new member!

The Buick brand has released two models, including the Velite 6, a new energy mass-produced car owned by SAIC-GM Buick, which will be available in pure electric and plug-in hybrid versions, as well as another A world premiere pure electric SUV concept car - Enspire.

"Velite" comes from the English word "elite", which means elite and backbone. Velite 6 adopts the same design style as the Velite concept car. The straight waterfall front grille and lower air intake create a strong sense of sportiness in the new car. Chrome-plated decorative strips connect the Buick family-style headlights, making the entire front face look highly recognizable.

The Buick Velite6 plug-in hybrid system consists of an EVT electronically controlled intelligent continuously variable transmission, two permanent magnet synchronous motors and a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine. The motor and engine pass through GM's patented double-row planetary gears. The efficient deployment of the group structure can realize multiple drive modes including hybrid drive, motor drive alone, and engine drive alone, and can optimize the vehicle's power output in each mode.

The maximum endurance of the power system of this car can reach 700 kilometers, the comprehensive fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is 1.4L, and the lithium battery pack it is equipped with is larger than the plug-in hybrid version.

Velite 6 adopts Buick’s latest eMotion electric drive technology and eConnect interconnection technology, and also supports App authorization function. You can use your mobile phone as a virtual key instead of a traditional key to enter and start the vehicle for driving.

Neither plug-in hybrid nor pure electric models will be sold in the United States. As for whether Velite 6 can continue the glory of Buick's new energy vehicles, let us wait and see.
