The research mainly focuses on the water environment issues of rivers and lakes. The research fields involve river and lake pollution control, water quality improvement, and ecological restoration theory and technology. Conduct research on urban river evaluation and diagnosis, ecological slope protection technology, constructed wetland technology, river and lake sediment resource utilization technology, and sewage plant sludge treatment technology. At the same time, the research team also carried out research on soil improvement, mud film control and other technologies in shield tunnel construction. (1) River and lake water environment management theory and technology
On the issue of improving the quality of urban water environment, relevant theoretical systems and technologies have been constructed based on the specific problems existing in urban water bodies in my country. system to form a water environment diagnosis system and a water environment quality improvement technology system that are adapted to local conditions and suitable for my country's national conditions. It has played an important role in the two "863" projects of the national "Tenth Five-Year Plan" major scientific and technological projects - Zhenjiang urban water environment quality improvement and Suzhou urban water environment quality improvement. In terms of water environment management and ecological restoration technology research, a series of new technologies and new methods have been developed, including ecological manipulation technology in water ecological restoration and ecological reconstruction technology of hard slope protection and bank protection. Constructed wetland technology has been used in Zhenjiang and Suzhou , Luzhi and other places have been demonstrated and applied and achieved preliminary results. Related research work has been carried out in the theory and technology of river and lake water environment management, the technology of constructed wetlands to treat rural domestic sewage and the mechanism of cyanobacteria outbreak.
(2) The theory and technology of resource utilization of dredged silt
In view of the problem that the large amount of silt produced in the environmental management of lakes and rivers in my country is difficult to deal with, we are the first in China to study solidification treatment and regeneration The research work on resource utilization technology and technology of mixing silt and waste EPS particles to produce high-value lightweight soil has formed a number of patents and a unique technical system. It has been successfully used in the silt treatment of Wuxi Changguangxi stockyard and the Guanshe mountain bottom mud dredging project. It has received attention from the dredging project of the eastern route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project and multiple reservoir dredging projects.
(3) Treatment theory and technology of sewage plant sludge
In view of the large amount of sewage sludge in our country but the lack of treatment methods suitable for national conditions and secondary pollution, we should study sewage Plant sludge solidification/stabilization technology. For sludge with a moisture content of about 80%, by studying the characteristics of changing its physical properties and changes in the form of heavy metals, a sludge solidification/stabilization technology based on skeleton construction was developed and successfully applied in Suzhou Luzhi Wastewater Treatment Plant. In conjunction with the sludge pretreatment landfill project carried out at Shenzhen Xiaping Landfill, and the Shenzhen Fuyong Sludge Treatment Site Project, further technical research and engineering applications are being carried out.
(4) Shield tunnel construction technology and design theory
In addition, based on the background of large-scale subway tunnel construction in my country, issues related to shield tunnel technology are studied. Developed unique design software and bubble materials, proposed the gushing model and occlusion model of the shield pressure chamber, carried out research on the soil quality improvement of the shield pressure chamber and the formation mechanism of mud film, and solved many practical engineering problems. Among them, the self-developed bubble agent has been widely accepted by the engineering community and has initially achieved good results.
