Advantages of Alfa Laval Plate Heat Exchanger

1. Adhesive gasket: Alfa Laval uses two kinds of combined vulcanized epoxy adhesive gaskets to permanently and firmly adhere the gasket in the gasket groove, so that the gasket will not fall off when the heat exchanger is turned on. Other manufacturers do not have vulcanized rubber, and some even do not use two kinds of adhesive, which can not guarantee firm adhesion. When the heat exchanger is opened, the gasket often falls off and must be replaced.

2. Diversion zone: Another feature of Alfa Laval's advanced plate design is the design of diversion zone, which is also one of Alfa Laval's many patents. In order to facilitate the configuration of nozzles, the inlet and outlet nozzles of modern plate heat exchangers are all unilateral. In order to make full use of all the heat exchange areas, it is necessary to ensure that the fluid is evenly distributed throughout the plate. Alfa Laval's unique design of circulation area can ensure uniform distribution even on the widest board surface. Another notable feature is the pressure drop, which can make more economical pressure drop be used for heat transfer, thus obtaining the highest heat transfer coefficient. Due to the lack of good diversion area, other manufacturers need oblique flow to distribute the fluid to the whole board. Inclined plate structure will complicate piping, requiring two different plates and gaskets, which will bring great inconvenience to maintenance.

3. Adhesive-free gasket: The clip-on gasket is Alfa Laval's super adhesive-free system, which is characterized by convenient and quick replacement of gasket on site. The clip-on gasket is connected with the edge of the plate through two forks, so that the gasket can be positioned neatly along the rubber gasket groove. In the design of Alfa Laval non-stick system, the sealing function and the pin buckle function are separated: if the rubber fork is removed here, the sealing will not be affected.

4. Advanced frame technology: excellent clamping bolt system. Alfa Laval has designed a unique and excellent clamping bolt, which is convenient to disassemble and assemble the heat exchanger. The bolt consists of the following systems:

● The bearing box makes the bolts well in place and easy to tighten.

● Anti-slip washer prevents the bolt from rotating when tightening.

5. Five-point metal positioning system:

The system is used for heat exchangers with corner hole diameter above140 mm. The positioning of the plate is determined by the metal-to-metal contact at five points. The three points of the upper bearing bar can prevent the plate from moving up and down, and the two points of the lower bearing bar can prevent the plate from moving left and right. Five-point positioning, the plate group can move back and forth on the bearing rod without resistance. The gasket seal is accurate, not bad at all, and the gasket life is longer. This is Alfa Laval's unique design.
