Professor Wang Guilan has devoted many years to the theory and new technology of short-process manufacturing integrating shape creation and quality, numerical simulation of plasticity and rapid deposition growth forming process, and material forming CAE/CAM/ with quality management as the core. Obtained two national invention patents and applied for one national invention patent and one Japanese patent each. He has published more than 60 papers in authoritative and important academic journals at home and abroad, edited 2 volumes, and translated 1 book. Currently, there are 9 master's degree students and 4 doctoral students. Among the graduate students trained, some of them won the first "Top Ten Science and Technology Awards" of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the third prize of "Edison Cup" of General Electric Company of the United States.
