Details of the organization and implementation of the College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition

In order to cultivate college students' innovative awareness, innovative thinking, Creativity and entrepreneurial spirit guide college students to advocate science, be determined to innovate, and pursue true knowledge, and stimulate their enthusiasm for scientific and technological entrepreneurship and practice to become talents. At the same time, in order to select outstanding works to participate in the 8th "Challenge Cup" Chinese College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition in 2012, we have decided to hold the 11th College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. Eligibility

All undergraduates, master’s students, and doctoral students in our school who were officially registered before July 2011 in full-time non-adult education (excluding in-service graduate students, regardless of nationality) are eligible. To apply for the competition, each person is limited to one entry.

2. Participation requirements

1. Team formation: Freely form competition groups with complementary advantages. The principle requires that the number of people in each group should be controlled within 7 people. In order to complete a complete, specific, and in-depth business plan, the competition team is generally required to be composed of students majoring in management, economics, marketing, law, finance, technology, etc.

2. Options: Choose services or products with market prospects. The proposed service or product is the contestant’s invention or authorized invention, or it can be a concept or service that may be developed and implemented.

3. Research: Conduct extensive market research and in-depth research on the proposed services or products.

4. Documentation: The creation of the completed business plan report is mainly to attract venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to inject funds and strive for the business plan to truly enter the market. The completed business plan should be well-argued and convincing.

4. Scope of the work

1. Planning and establishing an enterprise or company, for example: New Material Technology Co., Ltd.

2. Creating some new type of profession ,Example: Ocean Cleaner

3. Launch a new service, for example: Tenant Love Public Welfare Network

4. Invent a certain technological product, for example: Smart Hairdressing Software

Note: The above range is for reference only. As long as the contestants’ own creativity is used, it can alleviate employment pressure and conform to the characteristics of college students’ self-employment. At the same time, they must be able to make in-depth and detailed explanations according to the entrepreneurial plan writing guidelines. Activity schedule

The competition notice will be issued in March and the team will be formed

The team formation, project selection and preliminary competition draft will be completed from April to May.

Register for the preliminary round before May 27, and submit the registration form and business plan

The preliminary round will be reviewed before June 30, and the list of semi-finalists will be announced

6. Implementation steps

1. The first stage (April-May)

(1) Entrepreneurship coaching lecture (early April)

Invite judges and award-winning teams from previous competitions Instructors and national entrepreneurship competition winners provide training to participating team members, and provide guidance to participating teams on innovation and entrepreneurship knowledge, venture capital operations, capital market operations, and writing business plans through special lectures and symposiums;

(2) The participating teams have completed team formation, entrepreneurial project selection, market research and preparation of preliminary competition manuscripts;

(3) Each participating team must submit the submission before May 27 Submit the registration form (team + individual) and business plan (3 copies) to the competition organizing committee office (school youth league committee office);

2. Second phase (June-August)

(1) The competition jury will review the team’s business plan and conduct a preliminary review;

(2) After the judges score, 20 semi-final works will be selected according to the score;

3. The third stage (September-October)

(1) Participation The team will further revise and improve the business plan based on research data and market analysis;

Notes:

1. Competition Participate in the form of a business plan group (team). The competition requires contestants to form an entrepreneurial planning team with complementary subject advantages, scientific professional equipment, and reasonable personnel structure, and participate in the form of a group. Cross-college and cross-campus teams are encouraged to participate (but team members must negotiate in advance to clarify the unit for which the work is to be submitted).

2. The contestant’s entry should be for an invention, technology patent or service. Specific sources include: inventions, patented technologies or extracurricular productions participated by participating team members; authorized inventions or patented technologies (in this case, the participating team must submit to the organizing committee the ownership of inventions, created or patented technologies with legal effect without the written authorization of the person), citing its products; or a conceptual product or service that may be discovered by research.

3. The participating teams should complete a complete, specific and feasible business plan to bring products or services to the market based on extensive market research and careful business analysis. At the same time, create conditions to attract venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to inject funds and promote entrepreneurial plans to enter the market.
