How was the tap invented?

In 1937, Alfred H. Moen was still a student at the University of Washington. To pay for school, Alfred M. Moen worked as a school cleaner. One evening while he was cleaning the last sink, a great danger arose. He turned on the traditional two-handle faucet with both hands, and hot water suddenly rushed towards him. This dangerous situation frightened Alfred M. Moen, and he has been thinking about how to solve this problem. He felt that he should make a faucet that could control the water volume and temperature with one hand, so he changed to a mechanical engineering course. Later, after constant attempts at drawing, he had the predecessor of the current single-handle faucet.
