Scientific research achievements of Guangdong University of Technology School of Environmental Science and Engineering

After long-term construction and development, the School of Environmental Science and Engineering has formed four stable disciplines: (1) Chemical pollution and control technology; (2) Comprehensive utilization of wastes and key technologies of cleaner production in traditional industries; (3) Safe treatment technology of waste water and waste gas; (4) Separation and analysis technology of trace pollutants. The College of Environmental Science and Engineering is the first batch of qualified institutions in China (No.281 of the National Environmental Assessment Certificate), and has obtained the certificate of Guangdong Cleaner Production Technical Service Unit (certificate No.2111). The college consists of environmental science department, environmental engineering department, bioengineering department, experiment center and environment and resources research institute.

In recent three years, the College has undertaken more than 22 scientific research projects, including one major national science and technology project and six national natural science funds. There are 18 special funds for Industry-University-Research cooperation of Guangdong Ministry of Education, 3 major science and technology projects in Guangdong Province, 3 natural science funds in Guangdong Province, 9 science and technology plans in Guangdong Province and more than 18 horizontal scientific research projects such as environmental impact assessment and cleaner production audit. The average annual research funding exceeds 1 million yuan, and 1 patents have been granted, and more than 25 academic papers have been published, of which more than 7 papers have been included by SCI and EI.
