Hypertension is a typical silent killer with no obvious symptoms, so people tend to ignore it. The results show that the risk of stroke, heart disease and kidney disease in patients with hypertension in the future is 2.84 times, 1.93 times and 1.66 times higher than that of people without three highs respectively. Obviously, both hypertension itself and the following problems such as stroke and heart disease pose a serious threat to the health of China people. According to 102- 14 national survey on the changes of nutrition and health status, the prevalence rate of hypertension among people over 18 years old is 24. 1%, about 4 people suffer from hypertension, and it is estimated that 4.62 million people suffer from hypertension. In the past, people often thought that hypertension was a common chronic disease of the elderly, but the survey mentioned in the previous paragraph showed that the prevalence rate of hypertension among young people aged 18-39 in China was 4.7%, that is, about 1 person had hypertension on average. It is estimated that more than 360,000 people in China aged 18-39 had hypertension, and the self-awareness rate was 34.2%. National health departments and non-governmental organizations advocate the prevention and treatment of hypertension, emphasizing that hypertension can be prevented and controlled as early as possible. Remind people to measure their blood pressure regularly and reduce their salt intake, and emphasize that young people eat too much salt because of the high probability of eating out, and they don't know enough about hypertension. Among the population aged 65,438+08-39, as many as 366,000 people suffer from hypertension, of which only 654,380,000 people know that they have hypertension, while nearly 240,000 people don't know that they will suffer from stroke, heart disease and renal dialysis when they are young. In addition, the prevalence of hypertension increases with age, especially after menopause, which reminds menopausal women to pay more attention to their blood pressure control and cardiovascular health care. At present, according to the national health agency 104 telephone interview survey on health behavior risk factors, it is found that the correct concept of blood pressure value for people over 40 years old is much higher than 60%, but it is worrying that the correct concept of blood pressure value for people aged 18-39 is actually lower than 50%. In addition, according to the national health interview survey of the Republic of China 102, it was found that nearly 13% of the hypertensive people aged 18-39 had not taken their blood pressure within one year, which indicated that the correct cognition of blood pressure value and the behavior of taking blood pressure regularly among young people in China need to be strengthened.
The British National Health Service provides six main points to prevent and treat hypertension: reducing salt, measuring and controlling blood pressure regularly, losing weight, quitting smoking, exercising regularly and abstaining from alcohol, so as to help China people stay away from the threat of hypertension. Among them, reducing salt and measuring blood pressure regularly are two key steps to control hypertension. The national health agency has put forward two measures to help people control hypertension effectively: the first measure: measuring blood pressure regularly 1, and forming habits from childhood; USPSTF suggests that people above 18 should measure their blood pressure at least once a year, and people with family history should pay attention to their blood pressure from childhood and take regular measurements to form healthy living habits. 2. If the blood pressure exceeds 140/90 mmHg, you should consult a doctor. Patients with hypertension who are being treated should measure their blood pressure regularly and make records, which can not only help medical staff understand the patient's blood pressure control, but also reflect the change of lifestyle and the control of hypertension. 3. Precautions when measuring blood pressure: Don't talk, don't urinate, don't tilt your feet, the pulse pressure belt is not lower than your heart, your sleeves and waist are straight, and your feet naturally droop. The second measure: eating less salt and consuming too much sodium, such as processed food and high-salt food, is one of the main reasons for the increase of blood pressure, and consuming too much salt will increase the water retention in body tissues and increase the burden on the operation of organs such as heart and kidney. It is suggested that the daily sodium intake should be less than 2.4 grams (equivalent to 6 grams of salt).
Tips for salt reduction: 1. Eat more fresh food and less processed food. 2. Minimize the selection of ingredients and foods with high salt (sodium) content. Please read the sodium content on the nutrition label before buying the packaged food. 4. When cooking food, use the natural flavor of ingredients, reduce the addition of salt (sodium) and seasoning, and collect the seasoning bottles and jars on the table.
