What is the examination of Italian invention patent applications?

(1) After the patent application is published, UIBM makes a decision on whether to grant the invention patent according to the retrieval result of EPO and the applicant's reply;

(2) If an application for a patent for invention claims foreign priority, UIBM will make a decision on whether to grant it after preliminary examination;

(3) If it is an application for a patent for utility model, UIBM will also make a decision on whether to authorize it after preliminary examination;

(4) Those who refuse to accept UIBM's refusal decision shall appeal to the UIBM Review Committee. If you refuse to accept the decision of the Committee, you can also appeal to the Italian Court of Cassation;
