Tiefo Town Tiefo Ancient Temple

Tiefo Temple is located 500 meters east of Guzhen Street in Tiefo Temple, covering an area of more than 30 mu. There are mountain gates, bell and drum towers, Heavenly King Hall, Ursa Major Hall, Tiefo Hall, Sutra Hall, Dharma Hall, Galapagos Hall, Shixiang Hall, Zhai Hall, two-story East-West Annex (Buddha Hall), East-West Courtyard, Circulation Office and other buildings. It is well-known for its compact layout and exquisite architecture. 1992 invited an iron Buddha from other places, and 1995 built a main hall (iron Buddha hall) for worship, which made the iron Buddha temple worthy of the name and restored its original appearance. Not long ago, a reclining Buddha was carved and placed in a Buddhist temple. 1996 was in spring. 1986, the county government officially opened the Tiefo Temple to the outside world, and now tens of thousands of Sanbao disciples have converted to the temple, all over the country. In addition to regular Buddhist activities, the temple also holds seven buddha six times a year, especially in Sichuan, Hongkong, Shanxi, Hebei, Beijing, Liaoning, Gansu, Ningxia and other places, with thousands of lay people attending. The abbot of Tiefo Ancient Temple, a master of politics and literature, was born in 19 12, Taiyuan, Shanxi. 1935 During his tenure as the head of the Buddhist Association in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province and the abbot of Baiyun Temple, the elders wearing anklets passed away peacefully on the 14th day of the first lunar month in 2000. He is 89 years old and has given up wax for 66 summers. He loved his country and religion all his life and was deeply respected by the four disciples of Tiefo Temple. To commemorate the immortal merits of the old monk, he made a stone. I saw it as white as jade, as jade. There are more than 20 pieces of black rosary relics. Surprisingly, it is shaped like a rosary, smaller than soybean, and has a round hole in it. This is the testimony of the monk's lifelong practice. The crystallization of great asceticism, stupa, exists at the foot of Liang Qingshan in Tiefo Temple Village. According to historical records, since the Ming Dynasty, the ancient town of Tiefo Temple has held Buddhist ceremonies and material exchange meetings every year on the 15th of July, 20th of September and 15th of the first month of the lunar calendar, accompanied by performances such as Shaanxi Opera Troupe, which has attracted believers and merchants from all over the country. Every year on the first day of the first month, a blessing ceremony for the New Year will be held.

Tiefo Temple in Ganxian opened Tiefo Temple to teach Esperanto. Buddhism was introduced into China from India and neighboring countries and developed, making China a great Buddhist country after India. Text and language translation have played an indelible role. China, who has three language families, Buddhism and French, will not regard Buddhism as his patent in China. Due to the insurmountable language barrier, many people in the world are still unable to get in touch with the rare Buddhism, so every Buddhist disciple has the obligation to introduce and promote Buddhism to the outside world after studying. To promote Buddhism to foreigners, the first thing to overcome is the language barrier. There are nearly 7,000 languages used in Esperanto, and it is impossible for us to master them all in order to promote Buddhism. At the same time, in the words of fellow initiate Shinichi Yamaguchi, Secretary General of the International Esperanto Buddhist Association, China is the birthplace of Buddhism in Southeast Asian countries, but it is difficult for people in other countries to master Chinese in order to learn Buddhism. This requires a * * * language media to help us achieve our goals. When it comes to language media, most people's first concept is English. The country attaches great importance to English teaching, and then for us orientals, although we spend too much time and energy on this language, it is difficult to achieve the expected effect and function. It is even more difficult for disciples of Oriental Buddhism to save all their time for studying Buddhism and devote themselves to language learning. Esperanto is an international auxiliary language created by Dr. zamenhof, a Polish doctor, in 1887. It is only used to conveniently eliminate people's difficulties in international communication. Esperanto is an artificial language, but its sovereignty belongs to all mankind. Its development not only does not conflict with the national language, but also plays a certain role in protecting the national language. What is more rare is that this language is easy to learn and use, and learners are fully capable of mastering the application of this language in the shortest time. As long as China people study hard, they will be able to master the basic knowledge and usage in a year or so, and make good use of it in international communication. Therefore, Esperanto is widely used in various fields, including religion. However, the application of Esperanto in Buddhism started late, resulting in the situation that the world of Esperanto saw more foreign materials than Buddhist materials. Although the International Esperanto Buddhist Association and the Japanese Esperanto Buddhist Association have started to act in recent years, due to the limited number of participants, little work has been done. I like to write in Esperanto before becoming a monk. I learned Christianity through Esperanto, and I hope to learn Buddhism through Esperanto after studying Buddhism. Unfortunately, I didn't get what I wanted at that time, so I always longed for the opportunity to open a new road to Buddhism through Esperanto in the future. This yearning coincides with the purpose and goal of the International Organization of Esperanto Buddhism. So after becoming a monk, thanks to the encouragement of Esperanto and Buddhists in the field of Esperanto at home and abroad, he picked up Esperanto again for the translation of Buddhist scriptures, joined international Buddhist organizations, and started the first Esperanto class on the website of Esperanto Buddhism. The general class of Esperanto has officially started. The textbook of the previous study is hope, and other text and video textbooks will be supplemented according to the actual situation. At present, there are dozens of schoolmates. On April 20th 20 10/0, accompanied by Mr. Wang Tianyi, president of esperanto association, Mr. Aldrin, a Brazilian esperanto, Ma Di, a Russian esperanto, a traveler, Xu Yang, a Xi esperanto (son of Xu Sheng) and the staff of the Association, went to Tiefo Temple in Ganxian to meet Miao Hui. On June 10, friends from all over the world from France and Poland came to Tiefo Temple. At that time, some teaching and exchange activities were held in Esperanto. The contents of the exchange include Buddhist culture, reports on foreign charitable activities, esperanto writing and translation, etc. Address: Shi Yonggen, Tiefo Temple, Gan County, Shaanxi Province, 7 13307.
