Technical analysis of key points in i-Rocks Fun fun. Play "

Editor's note:

Eric's own axis keyboard published a leading article on the bad friend platform yesterday (you are also welcome to join the bad friend fans who love to push the pit). The content is mainly about the ins and outs of its own shaft and related technical advantages. But many friends are still curious about technology. Therefore, alps, the player who has the deepest cooperation with Eric, will explain the angle, material and production of this own axis in depth. Just watching the player disassemble the shaft and put it in order is very admirable. It may take several hours to finish this article.

The following is the original text of the player alps article:

People who know me should know that I am a keyboard loud controller and I am also a keyboard fundamentalist (feel it first, nothing else). I have been playing Alpine Axis for XX years, and I know most advantages and disadvantages of Alpine Axis. The ideal keyboard axis only needs

Flexibility (fluency), sound sweetness (frequency, loudness, timbre, volume), durability (life, output), the rest of the appearance, color, lighting brightness, program mode, and cost are all diversified combinations of the market for me, regardless of the essence of the shaft.

So when the factory asked me for advice, the purpose was to complete a nearly perfect keyboard axis as much as possible. I also told the shaft designer: Yes, it must be historic and breakthrough, much better than the previous shaft, with long service life, and at least several characteristics are the best in the world and the first in the world, so that it is meaningful. (Of course, it can't be absolutely perfect, after all, we should consider that the cost can't explode to an unreasonable level). And the designer of this shaft, the factory owner and even the agent responded to my unreasonable criticism very kindly. (It seems that it is really throwing caution to the wind.)

With this * * * knowledge of 10 months ago, and based on the axis history of the past few decades, I began to try to make various sample axes step by step. After several generations of painstaking revision at no cost (it seems that I have experienced more than ten generations of mold repair, more than ten generations of sample testing and parts material adjustment and replacement), I feel really crazy if I don't make up my mind to make the perfect mentality and cognition as much as possible at no cost.

The development direction of this axis is based on the Alps axis, and the goal is to surpass the overall level and quality of all Alps axes in history, add some factors of MX axis, and cultivate a new bathing phoenix.

I received several shafts (about a dozen sample shafts were sent back and forth) from the manufacturer before the official shipment on 20 16.05. 14, and tried to update the sample keyboard at any time, providing detailed directions again and again and thoroughly improving it. Of course, this is not unexpected. If it is not decomposed, how can it be worthy of the i-Rocks axis of this innovation history?

Basic specifications of keyboard

Collision-free N-key rollover line length: 200 cm Product size: 459 (length) * 158.5 (width) * 39.5 (height) mm Product weight: about 1.45 kg net weight (excluding packaging box) = = = = I-shaped rock green shaft+zigzag shaft.

The central sliding sleeve (the key shaft of the key cap) has undergone five changes from the original 20 15.08.xx all-iron Freon material to the final mixed material, and the requirements are of course good smoothness and high durability. The most important thing is to use a large number of MX axes on the market to be compatible with various materials and printed keycaps.

Two unique new patented technologies have realized the unique advantages of the present situation.

Exclusive ORS silencing technology ~ patented silencing mechanism, in order to ensure long-term service life and stability, high-priced tough silicone materials are selected. The trigger reed is also a patented three-blade multi-point contact mechanism, which keeps stable contact for a long time (the material is high elastic phosphor bronze contact gold plating). The soundboard is also made of stainless steel SUS30 1, and most other shafts on the market are plated with iron or copper or other cheap stainless steel.

Basically, for long-term stability, high-priced materials are used regardless of cost. See the parts drawing for details.

Side news: the new pin position is suitable for ALPS axis keyboard, but some iron plates are not suitable, and the cost of single axis manufacturing is quite high.

Much higher than MX category, there is no plan to retail single axis at present, so ......................

Analysis of the action curve of the axis ~ one is the green axis ~ the other is the mysterious axis ~ I won't talk about other types of black tea for the time being!

1. Technical data of the green shaft (I prefer to call it the green shell shaft) ~ such as the action diagram of the shaft.

The total stroke is 4.0mm, the first section 1.8mm, the trigger stroke is 2.0mm, the trigger start pressure is 60g, and the trigger start pressure is 35g? (We usually call it a trigger diagram) (the moment when the signal is generated)

As can be seen from the action trip diagram of this shaft, when it is triggered, it seems to drop from 60g at the top of the bucket to 35g instantly, triggering a signal, just like the shocking journey of a roller coaster, and finally sliding to the end, which makes you feel refreshed. This is the feeling of broken bones and crisp segments that have never appeared in all axes before, and it is also compounded with gorgeous echoes. Of course, the sound base is a clear and loud paragraph, and the trend of timbre is very different from that of the early Alps axis. On the contrary, it is very close to the timbre of the white axis in Taiwan Province Province, and some tunes are biased towards the mixed timbre of the green axis of cherry MX. If you want to speak loudly, you can try to take off the upper transparent cover of the keyboard, or take off the ORS parts, which is another taste.

2. Paradox Axis (I can also call it White Shell Axis)

Why is it called the Paradox Axis (none of my business)? According to my original setting requirements, it should be beyond the world status quo and the most extreme non-stick key shaft. The original idea was to trigger the 20g drift linearly, but it was so deviant that the manufacturers were afraid that the market consumers would not accept it. Finally, the linear trigger of 28g drift compromised. However, most of the sample shafts have been tested for several generations, and my self-test power-on trigger values are mostly in 18~26g.

This release has a standard version and a * * * hardcover signature version.

Technical data ~ such as the action diagram of the shaft, the total stroke is 4.0mm, the trigger stroke is 2.0mm, and the trigger conduction pressure is 28g.

About the feel: lightness? Echo around the beam? Haha laugh ... people who come into contact for the first time will doubt their senses ... (The instant feeling may be ... what happened ... This keyboard ... is so strange ... I can't type ...), OK! The selling point has dropped, and the users themselves have realized it. Can you skim the water? ... no? ..... Then don't press it, just touch it, especially the lady with slender fingers. ?

About life span: I don't advocate or guess, because it is false and deceptive. According to the actual long-term test results (taking the second-generation green shell shaft 105. 10.xx as unqualified samples), if the machine presses 20 green shells eight hours a day (working hours), it will be about 8 x 60 x 60 x 4x 30 = 340 million times a month. Can anyone play 34000 coaxial? However, a person's hand can only produce one word per second on average, and it can't last for eight hours. I don't believe it can be done in 30 years (don't forget that the keyboard has 100 keys). Results 10 month has passed 35 million times, and these early 20 samples are still in use. Then what else do you need? In fact, the sample green shell shaft of 105. 10.xx is absolutely qualified if it is to be put on the market before 10!
