How to buy a single chip:
1. Basic parameters of single chip microcomputer, such as speed, program storage capacity and number of I/O pins.
2. Enhanced functions of single chip microcomputer, such as watchdog, double pointer, double serial port, RTC (real-time clock), EEPROM, extended RAM, CAN interface, I2C interface, SPI interface and USB interface.
3. Compared with OTP, Flash is the best.
4. Pack IP, PLCC(PLCC has corresponding socket) or patch. DIP bag may be more convenient when doing experiments.
5. Operating temperature range, industrial or commercial. If you design outdoor products, you must choose industrial grade.
6. Power consumption, such as designing a parallel port encryption dog, the signal line can only provide a few milliamps, PIC is used because of low power consumption, and later MSP430 is not bad.
7. Operating voltage range. For example, design a TV remote controller, which is powered by two dry batteries and can work at least in the voltage range of1.8-3.6V.

9. Low-cost and service providers, such as some companies that promote Philips or AVR, provide a lot of useful technical support, at least there is a place to buy writers.
10. The programming equipment is cheap. If it is ICP (programming single chip microcomputer on programmer), can you use the existing programmer? If it is surface mount packaging, it is also very expensive to buy an adapter, at least one or two hundred yuan. Whether it is an ISP (in system programming, the chip is soldered to the board first, and then programmed through the reserved ISP interface), the average ISP programmer is about 200 yuan or even tens of yuan cheaper.
