Suzuki's new 6-seater MPV patent image exposed, using "progressive intelligent hybrid" technology

Bitauto News Recently, we obtained a set of Suzuki XL6 model patent drawings from the State Intellectual Property Office. The new car is basically the same as the XL6 released by Suzuki Motors in India in 2019. It is positioned as a 6-seater MPV model.

Judging from the patent drawings, the front face of the Suzuki XL6 uses a large-size air intake grille, which is embellished with multiple small chrome trim strips to achieve an effect similar to a honeycomb grille. A thick silver trim strip runs through the middle grille, stretching the visual width of the front face and giving the new car a tough feel. The new car is positioned as a 6-seater MPV. According to overseas models, its length, width and height are 4445/1775/height 1700 mm respectively, the wheelbase is 2740 mm, and the minimum ground clearance is 180 mm.

The overall side shape of the new car tends to be more majestic and steady than traditional MPV models, but the side steps and roof racks give the XL6 a crossover style. The shape of the rear of the new car is quite satisfactory, but the outline of too many horizontal lines gives the rear a strong overall sense of hierarchy. The rear bumper echoes the front of the car, and combined with the silver lower fender, it also creates a certain crossover atmosphere.

In terms of power, the Suzuki XL6 is equipped with a 1.5-liter inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine, equipped with "progressive intelligent hybrid" technology and a lithium-ion battery. Its maximum power is 77 kilowatts and its peak torque is 138 Nm. In terms of transmission system, the new car will be matched with 5MT or 4AT transmission.
