Guangxi University is located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, with picturesque scenery and the reputation of "Green City". It is a comprehensive university with the longest history and the largest scale in Guangxi. It is the only national "2 1 1 project" construction school in Guangxi. It is also a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Guangxi, and universities in the central and western regions plan to enhance their comprehensive strength.
Guangxi University, founded in 1928, is the first higher education institution in Guangxi. The first principal was an educational "master" who was known as "Northern Cai South Ma", and Ma was a famous educator, scientist and democratic revolutionary doctor in China. 1939 became a national university, where a number of famous teachers such as Zhu Kezhen, Li Siguang, Chen Wangdao, Chen Yinque and Wang Li once taught. It was one of the most influential comprehensive universities in China at that time. 1952, President Mao Zedong personally wrote the name of Guangxi University. In the same year, the Agricultural College of Guangxi University was established independently. 1953, Guangxi University was closed during the adjustment of departments in China, and teachers, students, equipment and books were transferred to universities in central and southern China 19, which made great contributions and sacrifices to the development of higher education in new China. 1958, the State Council approved the restoration and reconstruction of Guangxi University. 1997, the former Guangxi University and the former Guangxi Agricultural University (renamed Guangxi Agricultural University in 1992) merged to form a new Guangxi University, and then embarked on a new journey of creating a high-level university.
