A Brief Introduction to the Monument of Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Monument

The "Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Monument" was inscribed by Deng Xiaoping, and the overall design of the project was the famous sculptor Cheng Yunxian, Wang Zhong, Chen Bin and other comrades. The total height of the monument is 46.8 meters, which is divided into three levels: foundation seat, monument seat and main monument. The first floor is the hall, which overlooks the whole city in the south and the main body of the monument in the north, and takes photos as a souvenir. There is an exhibition room on the second floor and a main monument on the third floor. The white marble relief in front of the main monument reflects the arduous struggle in Jinggangshan; There is also a bronze statue of "Mother" in front of the relief, which symbolizes that Jinggangshan is the cradle of revolution and the first mountain in China. The rest room on the first floor, the reception room and the exhibition hall on the second floor constitute the base part, all of which are made of granite produced in Changping Township of this city. The main monument is made of titanium-plated stainless steel. It is 27 meters high, which means that in 1927, Mao Zedong and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation founded the Jinggangshan revolutionary base. The shape at the top of the main monument highlights the shape of the "mountain"-the shape of "Jinggangshan" made of stainless steel, which looks like a flame from a distance, meaning that the spark in Jinggangshan burns all over Kyushu-"A single spark can start a prairie fire"; A close look is like a forest of steel guns, which means "political power comes out of the barrel of a gun." The whole building faces south, and it shines brightly in the sunshine. It is the most prominent commemorative symbol of the glorious history of Jinggangshan Martyrs Cemetery, Jinggangshan Revolutionary Martyrs Museum and Jinggangshan struggle, which integrates memorial halls, forest of steles, sculptures and revolutionary martyrs monuments.
