I. Overview of People's Mediation
People's mediation refers to the activities that the people's mediation committee urges the parties to reach a mediation agreement voluntarily on the basis of equal consultation and solve civil disputes through persuasion and persuasion.
Two. Responsibilities of the People's Mediation Committee
Mediation of civil disputes to prevent the intensification of civil disputes;
Publicize laws, regulations, rules and policies through mediation, educate citizens to abide by laws and regulations, respect social morality and prevent civil disputes;
Reflect the situation of civil disputes and mediation work to villagers' committees, residents' committees, units and grassroots people's governments. "
Three, the people's mediation committee does not accept the mediation of the following disputes:
(1) Laws and regulations stipulate that it can only be handled by specialized agencies, or laws and regulations prohibit the use of folk mediation; (two) the people's court, the public security organ or other administrative organs have accepted or resolved.
(3) Identity confirmation, adoption and marriage disputes will not be accepted;
(4) In public security cases, criminal cases and cases that have been put on file by the court, the people's mediation committee may no longer accept the application for mediation, but the people's mediation committee may mediate in cases in which the parties withdraw the lawsuit after the court has put on file.
