Wenfeng was convicted of intentional homicide, rape, robbery and theft, sentenced to life imprisonment, deprived of political rights for life, and fined RMB 20,000. After the judgment of the first instance, the defendant Zhao Wenfeng refused to accept the appeal. On February 28th, 20 15, 15, the Higher People's Court of Shandong Province rejected the appeal with criminal ruling No.53 of (20 15), upheld the original judgment, and sent it to prison on July 5th, 20 16.
