After being detained, the person shall be immediately sent to a detention center and detained for no more than twenty-four hours at the latest. Unless notification is impossible or the notification of suspected crimes endangering national security or terrorist activities may hinder the investigation, the detainee's family members shall be notified within 24 hours after detention. After the detainee disappears, if it hinders the investigation, the detainee's family members should be notified immediately.
The reason why we have not notified you so far is because we are unable to do so, or because we are suspected of crimes endangering national security or terrorist activities and notifying you would hinder the investigation.
It is recommended that you hire a lawyer to go to the public security bureau to learn about the case and meet with the suspect.
