The college was formerly known as Jiangxi University of Political Science and Law (later divided into Jiangxi Public Security College, Jiangxi Reform-through-Labor Police School and Jiangxi Judicial School). In 2000, Jiangxi Judicial School and Jiangxi Judicial Police School were formed and merged into Jiangxi Judicial Police School.
