Lawyers have the right to investigate and collect evidence by themselves, and only need "two certificates". Only when you meet the criminal suspect or defendant can you have the "three certificates". However, although there are clear provisions in the law, it is generally difficult for lawyers to obtain evidence on their own, and defendants are often unwilling to cooperate. If criminal cases are involved, lawyers may have to bear their own personal risks.
The process of lawyers handling criminal cases:
1, accept the consultation of the criminal suspect's parties or relatives and friends, and handle the entrustment procedures;
2, meet with the parties, understand the case, and make meeting records;
3, consult and copy the relevant materials, including prosecution opinions and appraisal materials, and collect favorable evidence according to the case;
4. Participate in the trial defense and submit defense opinions to the court.
To sum up, lawyers can get information from others. A lawyer can obtain the personal household registration information of the other party with the notification of case acceptance.
