Established in 20011,Gansu women's prison is the only medium-sized prison in Gansu province to hold female criminals.
Since its establishment nearly fourteen years ago, the prison has conscientiously implemented the party's prison work policy, made ensuring the safety and stability of the prison and serving a harmonious society the primary political task, actively responded to the call of the central government and provinces and cities to carry out national professional ethics construction activities, and strived to cultivate and practice socialist core values among police officers.
In 2008, the women's prison was jointly awarded the "Double Top Ten" unit of professional ethics construction of employees in the province by the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Spiritual Civilization Office.
