What if the police lose their guns? According to that rule, how to deal with it?

If a policeman loses a gun, he should immediately report it to his superior, who will handle it. According to Article 10 of the Standards for the People's Police of Public Security Organs to Wear and Use Guns, the people's police shall abide by the following provisions when wearing guns:

(1) Carrying a People's Police Card and a gun permit (except for performing specific investigation tasks);

According to the provisions of Article 129 of the Criminal Law, a person who is legally equipped with a gun for official use fails to report the loss of the gun in time, thus causing serious consequences, and shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention.

The people's police who wear and use guns shall meet the following conditions:

(a) in accordance with the provisions of the "People's Republic of China (PRC) gun management law", politically reliable, responsible, law-abiding, healthy, with good psychological quality, no drinking habits;

(2) Having received special training, mastering the regulations on the performance, use and maintenance of firearms, and passing the annual examination of shooting and maintenance skills;

(three) familiar with the "People's Republic of China (PRC) gun management law", "People's Republic of China (PRC) police equipment and weapons use regulations" and other laws and regulations;

(five) to participate in public security work for more than one year.

The people's police who wear and use guns must abide by the following provisions:

(1) It is forbidden to carry or use guns in non-police activities;

(3) It is forbidden to carry guns in areas and places designated by the public security organs of the people's governments at or above the municipal level with districts. When it is really necessary to carry guns through the above areas and places because of work, they should be stored in the public security management department of the local public security organ or the public security police station, and the storage procedures should be handled. Public security management departments of public security organs at all levels or police stations shall accept the storage of guns in time, and shall not shirk their responsibilities to ensure the safety of stored guns;

(4) drinking alcohol without guns;

(five) not to carry guns into hotels, shopping malls, dance halls and other public places of entertainment for non-work needs;

(6) Not to carry non-standard guns except for the need of performing tasks;

(7) No guns shall be used for hunting;

(8) Not to rent, lend, transfer, give away or exchange guns;

(nine) guns are not allowed to be handed over to non-people police for carrying or keeping;

(10) Do not repair guns or replace gun parts without permission;

(eleven) guns lost, stolen, robbed or other accidents, must immediately report to the local public security organs and units;

(twelve) accept the inspection and annual inspection by the competent department of firearms;

(thirteen) the relevant provisions of other laws and regulations.
