What is hierarchical jurisdiction? What's the difference between hierarchical jurisdiction and territorial jurisdiction?

Grade jurisdiction refers to a kind of trial jurisdiction, also known as trial grade jurisdiction and transaction jurisdiction. The division of jurisdiction of judicial institutions at all levels over cases of first instance is mainly determined according to the nature, seriousness and scope of influence of the case. Article 17 The basic people's courts shall have jurisdiction over civil cases of first instance, except as otherwise provided for in this Law. Article 18 The Intermediate People's Court shall have jurisdiction over the following civil cases of first instance: (1) Major foreign-related cases; (two) cases that have a significant impact in the region; (3) Cases determined by the Supreme People's Court to be under the jurisdiction of the Intermediate People's Court. Article 19. The Higher People's Court shall have jurisdiction over civil cases of first instance with great influence within its jurisdiction. Article 20. The Supreme People's Court has jurisdiction over the following civil cases of first instance: (1) cases of great influence throughout the country; (2) Cases that should be tried by the court.
