How do I know the progress of the case after filing a criminal case?

Legal analysis: criminal cases will be served on the defendant through a copy of the indictment at the latest ten days before the trial. After a criminal case is filed in the court, the court will wait for the trial. At that time, the court will notify the defendant and his defense lawyer in writing of the opening time. As relatives and family members, you can also go to the court for consultation.

Legal basis: Article 182 of the Criminal Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC). If a criminal suspect voluntarily and truthfully confesses the facts of the suspected crime, has made a significant contribution or the case involves the vital interests of the state, with the approval of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the public security organ may dismiss the case, and the people's procuratorate may decide not to prosecute or not to prosecute one or more of the suspected crimes. If the prosecution is not initiated or dismissed in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the people's procuratorate and the public security organ shall promptly deal with the sealed-up, distrained or frozen property and its fruits.
