Article 53 of the Supreme People's Court's Interpretation of Application.
Defence lawyers can consult, extract and copy the case files. Other defenders, with the permission of the people's court, may also consult, extract and copy the case files. The discussion records of the collegial panel and the judicial committee and other materials that are not disclosed according to law shall not be consulted, extracted or copied.
The people's court shall provide convenience for the defender to consult, extract and copy the case file materials, and ensure the necessary time.
The provisions of the preceding two paragraphs shall apply to the lawyers on duty to consult the files.
The files can be copied by copying, photographing, scanning and electronic data copying.
