Ode to Joy was jointly produced by Dongyang Noon Sunshine Film and Television Co., Ltd. and Shandong Film and Television Production Co., Ltd. and supervised by Hou Hongliang. The first season of the play was directed by Kong Sheng and Jane, written by Yuan Bullet and co-starred by,, Olivia, Andy, Bridget,,, Jin Dong and Liu Mintao.
Adapted from Anai's novel of the same name, the play tells the story of five girls from different families and different personalities who live on the 22nd floor of Ode to Joy, from strangeness to familiarity, to mutual understanding and mutual help.
The play premiered on Zhejiang Satellite TV and Oriental TV on April 20 16 18. From June 27th, 2065438 to June 27th, 2006, it was broadcast in the second prime time of Jiangxi Satellite TV.

The play premiered on Hunan Satellite TV on August 3rd, 2065438.
