What was the name of an ancient lawyer?

In ancient times, lawyers were called "lawyers", that is, "lawyers".

In ancient times, a lawyer was a person who gave advice and wrote letters for litigation. Litigants, who serve civil litigation lawyers, naturally become a thorn in the side of officials. Because defense didn't have the legitimacy of legal procedure in ancient China, litigants generally didn't have a "good" image in the vision of ancient politicians or laws in China, and were often regarded as troublemakers and social troublemakers. Laws enacted in accordance with the spirit of Confucianism do not recognize the status of litigants, so their social status is very low.

In ancient times, agents were not allowed in litigation. Officials, literati and women in position can be represented by their families, and both parties to the lawsuit must appear in court in person. It is also forbidden to "instigate litigation" and not to teach others how to go to court. It is ok to draft a complaint for people, but you can't add or subtract the plot and proposition.
