Legal analysis: The Criminal Procedure Law stipulates that the victim of a public prosecution case has the right to entrust an agent ad litem from the date when the case is transferred for examination and prosecution, that is, when the case is investigated by the investigation organ and transferred to the people's procuratorate for examination and prosecution. The law also stipulates that the legal representative or near relative of the victim may also entrust an agent ad litem for the victim. For example, if some victims are minors and their parents or other guardians are legal representatives, they can hire agents ad litem for the minors, and if some victims are seriously injured, their close relatives can also hire agents ad litem for them. In order to facilitate the victim to exercise this right, the people's procuratorate shall, within 3 days from the date of receiving the case materials transferred for examination and prosecution, inform the victim and his legal representative or close relatives that he has the right to entrust an agent ad litem.

Article 919 An entrustment contract is a contract in which the principal and the agent agree that the agent shall handle the principal's affairs.
Article 922 The agent shall handle the entrusted affairs in accordance with the instructions of the principal. If it is necessary to change the client's instructions, it shall be approved by the client; If it is difficult to get in touch with the client due to an emergency, the agent shall properly handle the entrusted affairs, but shall report the situation to the client in time afterwards.
