In addition, if a citizen is injured due to accidentally eating expired food, the medical expenses incurred should also be borne by the seller. If the circumstances are serious, criminal liability may be pursued.
How to identify expired food:
The first step: identify packaged food?
First, look at the color of the date. The real production date is neatly and brightly marked, while the fake production date is usually blurred and has ink marks around the date. When changing the date on some foods, there will be two dates on the same bag because the original dates may not have been cleaned.
Secondly, you can wipe it with your hands. The original production date on product packaging is generally the production date stamped and electrosprayed, and cannot be wiped off directly by hand. The changed production date started to become lighter with a light touch with your hand. After a few more hard touches, the production date turned into a mass of black and the writing could not be read.
Third, look at the date color. In order to prevent small vendors from changing the expiration date of expired food, some large and regular manufacturers deliberately choose hot stamping characters that are difficult to imitate, while unscrupulous suppliers usually choose lower-cost black raw materials when making counterfeit goods.
Second tip: Be careful with homemade food in supermarkets, carefully check the production date and shelf life, pay attention to whether the packaging is intact, do not buy products with incomplete labels or damaged packaging, and smell them if necessary. Try to choose fresh products and buy less cold dishes that are easy to spoil. It is best to reheat the cooked braised products after buying them. It is best to add some vinegar, garlic and other seasonings to sterilize the cold dishes you buy home. Beware of discount sales on homemade food. Most of these activities are aimed at food that is about to expire, and the safety index is not high. Don’t buy in bulk just because it’s cheap.
