1957, Ding You was seventy-one. In autumn, Guan Yin Fa Hui shaved Peng Jushi, and his dharma name was widely used. In autumn, teachers bring their own food, clothes, etc. , and take the waiter in Tainan Xiancaopu Lindong Jingshe (a military Dojo built by the wounded soldiers in pulmonary hospital) to teach the Infinite Life Sutra to the wounded soldiers. Rebuilding Tsz Shan Monastery Daxiong Hall in Winter.
In the second year after Shi Guang became a monk, the abbot of Baojue Temple in Taichung and the dean of the Buddhist College, a clever old monk, hired Shi Guang as a lecturer of the Buddhist College. Since becoming a monk, Shi Guang has always abided by the rule of not eating after noon. 1July, 996, he fell ill due to overwork under the pressure of heavy work of preaching and propagating Buddhism. The public asked him to take the afternoon ring, and he wrote ten words for people to see: "I would rather die with the ring than break it and live." Fortunately, a lucky person is lucky. He recovered after several illnesses. 1March, 959, Shipu Temple in Taipei gave a lecture, with Bai Sheng, Huisan and Daoyuan as the third division. Shi Guang took part in the ordination and became the first monk. On the eve of his ordination, he swore an oath before the Buddha.
My disciple, with wide obstacles and heavy scale, was kindly accepted by Sambo, making me a monk and helping me to be ordained; Rebuild as the first monk in the altar, Sambo loves me deeply. This kindness and virtue, when I do my best in the future, I swear to wear it. I swear that after I am ordained, I will be strict and clean, and I will carry forward the precepts. I am willing to take my heart as my own heart and be merciful to all sentient beings in order to repay the kindness of the Buddha. I hope to learn from this.
When the precepts were finished, the teacher put on clothes, took tools and thanked the teacher. I had to endure the compassion of the old mage Bai Sheng, and Master Guang sat beside him and asked, "What do you think of this commandment?" Teacher disguised terms yue:
Disciples don't become monks until middle age, and the obstacles are very serious. After being ordained, you only hold the precepts to promote the pure land and dare not preach them. But this time, on the altar of abstinence, I was grateful to see the monks working hard to quit. The purpose of monks' thinking is nothing more than to achieve the purity and discipline of the masses and to continue the life of Buddhist wisdom. If you want to repay a debt of gratitude, you should preach the precepts like dharma, and don't take the scale barrier. You vowed that if you get the abbot jungle in the future, you should try your best to preach, teach and quit, so as to repay the three treasures in case.
Nearly forty years after Shiguang, I spread the law, and I really made a wish here.
1960, Gengzi was 74 years old, and the old master of Air France was 74 years old. He knew that his charity was coming to an end. On the eighth day of the third lunar month, he retired from his post as abbot of Tsz Shan Monastery and was appointed as abbot. Lao Lu said to Shi Guang: "I am old, and the day of returning to the West is not far away. You have to bear the burden of Tsz Shan Monastery. " Since then, he has been studying Buddhism in the hut, saving up for hunger. On June 7, Lao Lu made a will to him and told the disciples in the temple to take care of the affairs. Three months later, I realized that my death was near, and I strengthened my chanting. At 9 o'clock on the morning of June 11th, Mrs. Luo took a bath by herself, handed the cassock to the south, put on new shoes and socks, and lay in bed. Everyone was thinking. After lying in bed for a long time, I opened my eyes and smiled, and the public also smiled. At noon, the disciples outside returned to the temple one after another because they received the notice from Guanghua. Lao Lu was very happy after seeing it. At five o'clock in the afternoon, someone sent someone to repair the wood of the Dizang Temple, and France put all its eggs in one basket to support Guanghua (repairing the Dizang Temple is his unfulfilled wish). He walked and said to Guanghua:
I was so lucky in my life that I became a monk in my later years. Your Taoist friends greeted me and prayed for me to help me die. Thank you! Fortunately, I became a monk. If I don't become a monk, how can I concentrate on Buddhism when I cry for my wife and children? How can you die if you can't concentrate?
Lao Lu went to the place where the wood was piled up and looked around. He went back to the living room, sat for a few minutes, and then went back to his old side alone. After a while, he said, "Please come widely!" Shi Guang approached, seeing that the old feelings were wrong, he asked, "Is it time?" Lao Lu nodded, and Shi Guangnai Zhong Ming called everyone together and said, "Everybody recite Buddha and help Master die." Lao Lao also followed the crowd in chanting Buddha. At first he was nervous and anxious, and gradually blurred. In a few minutes, he died peacefully in the sound of chanting Buddha. After three days of tea party, hundreds of relics were found, ranging from beans to rice. Shi Guang saw all kinds of auspicious signs of Lao Lu's peaceful death, which inspired his confidence in Buddhist practice. After the funeral of Lao Lao, the next year is ugly. In the first half of the year, Shi Guang was forbidden to study Buddhism in Tsz Shan Monastery, specializing in pure business. At the beginning of September, the acting master recommended him to Lingyin Temple in Hsinchu as the academic director of Lingyin Buddhist College. The Buddhist College is led by the supreme old monk, and its affairs are entirely sponsored by Shi Guang. After several months of preparation, the school opened in March of 195 1, which was the beginning for Shi Guang to take charge of the Buddhist College.
1963 In March, Shi Guang was appointed as the abbot of Tsz Shan Monastery for a term of three years, so he handed over the position of abbot to his brother Zhenguang. Since then, he has devoted himself to Sangha education. In August of that year, there were differences between the permanent residents of Lingyin Temple and the Buddhist College, which could not be resolved. At the invitation of Master Guoqiang, the abbot of Nanputuo Temple in Taichung, Shi Guang led the teachers and students of the college to move to Nanputuo Temple to attend classes and renamed it Nanputuo Buddhist College. When I first arrived in Nanputuo, everything was equal to a new creation, which was extremely difficult. Even the food did not continue. After that, teachers and students used bamboo shoots to satisfy their hunger. Fortunately, thanks to the compassion of Buddha and Bodhisattva, it gradually improved. 19641February, six semesters of teaching in the Buddhist College expired, and a graduation ceremony was held at the end of the month. At that time, the Buddhist College was temporarily closed for lack of karma.
In April of that year, Yuan Yulin, an old comrade-in-arms of Shiguang Army, visited the house and advised him to set up a temple, thinking that believers in the army, such as Lindong Jingshe, would set up a temple in advance. Coincidentally, at this moment, there was a Longhua auditorium in Wufeng, which was imported and purchased and converted into a Huguo Temple. In September, when the renovation was completed, Shi Guang became the abbot and was trained in the temple. He went deep into the law library, screened out the laws that could be made public and beneficial to the world, and wrote "Notes on Wenyuan (Bamboo Knife)" under the pseudonym of An, which was published in a Buddhist magazine. During this period, under the protection of a Chinese medicine doctor Zhong, a Chinese medicine shop was opened, inviting Chinese medicine practitioners to sit in the clinic, and marked "monks and nuns give medicine to the poor free of charge" to do some medical services. Master Guang set up the "Medicine King Lecture Hall" above the drugstore to protect the country, and taught the Amitabha Sutra in the lecture hall. The audience is very enthusiastic.
First,1September, 965, at the invitation of Master Sheng Yin, the abbot of Zhenmiao Temple in Taichung, Shi Guang gave a part-time lecture at China Buddhist College. 1967 was hired as a full-time teacher and academic director. Since then, he has devoted himself to training monks. 1969, Bishanyan Temple in Nantou asked him to preside over the Buddhist College, and he undertook the affairs of the whole hospital as the vice president and academic director of Nanguang Buddhist College in the temple. In the process of teaching, he paid special attention to the interpretation of commandments, which made him have close contacts with Ji Tao, a lawyer specializing in law, and forged a profound friendship.
1970, Xu Cangzhou, president of People's Voice Daily in Taichung City, asked Shi Guang to establish a Buddhist edition in People's Voice Daily-Awakening World Weekly to promote Buddhism. Shi Guang goes to Taichung newspaper every Wednesday night to proofread the manuscript, read the layout details, and then leaves the newspaper late at night. He devoted a lot of efforts to this weekly magazine, especially in the early 1960s (197 1 year), the Civil Affairs Department of the Taiwan Provincial Government drafted the draft of the Measures for the Administration of Provincial Temples in Taiwan Province Province. He shouted loudly in Awakening magazine that the draft contained three major mistakes, namely "irrationality, inequality and creating disputes", and it was a clause of "destroying religion and endangering the country", which was warmly echoed by various Buddhist publications. 197 1 autumn, People's Voice was reorganized internally, and Awakening World magazine was closed. Shi Guang has time to go to the Sanhui Academy in Taipei, convert to the position of living Buddha of Ganzhu and learn the secret method. /kloc-in the summer of 0/972, he was inspired by the wisdom and longevity of the living Buddha of Ganzhu, taught the secret method and French, and gave him Mo Bao as a souvenir.
1September, 972, Shi Guang went to Lianguang Temple in Nantou to retreat. Lianguang Temple is a Dojo founded by Master Guangming, Shi Guang's younger brother, commonly known as Zhou Gengguang. 1958, the old monk became a monk. His dharma name is Zhende, and the word is light. 196 1 year, Lianguang Temple was founded in the suburb of Nantou. He is going to close the temple, and Master Guanghua will close the temple on September 19th, specializing in the pure land of Guanzhong, praying for mercy and repentance. Closed for two years, many obstacles, often sick. 1June, 974 (two days before the Dragon Boat Festival in the solar calendar), I fell flat in a closed room and broke my left leg. Unable to be treated in a closed room, I had to pass the customs and be hospitalized in Taipei. I lived in the solar calendar and was discharged on July 15. 1975, Wu Jiuling, vice president of Taipei Dongshan High School, Chen Jiayuan, director of academic affairs, and Xu, director of affairs, were all devout Buddhists. They established Dongshan Buddhist College, with Elder Daoan as the dean and Master Guanghua as the academic director. Shi Guang has always been interested in Buddhist education. He said to himself, "It's fun to gather talents from all over the world and educate them." I'd be happy to apply.
At the beginning of the establishment of the Buddhist College, there were only four or five students at the beginning of the school because Shi Guang advocated accepting only men. Shi Guang takes "strictness, integrity, wisdom and persistence" as the teaching goal, teaches students Misha Regulations, Legacy Classics and other courses, and leads students to settle down in summer. In the past six months, Taoism has been widely spread, and the number of students has increased to 16. By July 1976, due to the increasing number of students, the college was limited by space and could not accommodate more houses. Shi Guang had a discussion with Taoist An and Wu Jiuling, and the college ended. The students were merged into the China Inner Court of Ciyun Temple in Mie City, and Shi Guang still taught in the college. During this time, he lived in the Great Tragedy Hospital in Zhonghe Township, sorting out Master Dao Yuan's Notes on Boundless Life. And published his first book, Notes on the Outline of Misha Regulations. He said in the preface of the book:
Although ashamed, but only shallow knowledge, sparse annotations, lack of practice. I'm ashamed! However, few people learned precepts in the last days, and they stole the effect to attract jade, so it was published by Buddhist Publishing House. I hope that all those who see and hear will notice my painstaking efforts, regret my failure, be bodhi-minded, and get clean precepts. "Bini is alive, and Buddhism will never stop." * * * I hope to rob the end of the arm and repay Sambo's kindness.
That autumn, he wrote the Sanskrit and the precepts of Bodhisattva in the Great Compassion, and read a Buddhist name in one stroke. At the end of the book, he replied:
May it be so true, the heart is in harmony, Buddha and Bodhi are full of thoughts. All beings in the legal world share the same happiness and wisdom.
1978, Ji Tao, a lawyer from Liu Hong in Yuantong Temple, Guanyin Mountain, Puli, Nantou, also slipped on the ground and broke his leg. At the age of 74, he knew he was moving and didn't want to see a doctor. Disciples around him were at a loss, and told Shi Guang by long-distance telephone that Shi Guang rushed to Puli when he heard the news. His meeting with Jishi was seen in the preface of Ji Tao Lawyer's Legacy Collection written by Shi Guang:
/kloc-in the winter of 0/978, a few days before Ji Lao's death, Yu Yu received a long-distance call from his disciple in Taipei, saying that Ji Lao was critically ill and asked him to help him remember at once. Worried, I put down the receiver and ordered to drive to Puli Yuantong Temple. When I got to the bedside to help the old man, I told him eagerly, "Elder! You can't leave. If the elders leave, the legalists in our country will be extinct! Stay, Elder, and I will cooperate with you. You are the master, and I am the assistant. We will work together to establish a law school, train monks and continue the wisdom of Buddhism. What do you think? " Shi Yun: "I am weak this year. I am incompetent. I am the Lord and I am the deputy. " After repeated humility, Yu said, "I dare not go against my elders. I obey you. I will do whatever you ask me to do, and I will obey. " The teacher was overjoyed to hear that he had changed his mind about not being hospitalized, taking injections or taking medicine. I ordered to pack my bags and go to Taipei for medical treatment tomorrow. ......
Lawyer Ji Tao was hospitalized in Taibei for seven days, but his condition not only did not improve, but worsened. He had to return to Puli to wait for his death. On the eve of his death, he ordered his disciples to move his life works to Shi Guang, who knew his mind, and said, "Don't worry, my predecessors, I will sort out these works and circulate them in books in the future." The next day, Ji died on 1978 10/2. Later, Shi Guang sorted out Ji's manuscript, edited nearly a thousand pages of Ji Tao Lawyer's Legacy, and published it. The friendship between teachers and teachers is comparable to that of the ancients.
1in the autumn of 979, the first students of Nanputuo Buddhist College got together and asked the teacher to resume the second enrollment of the Buddhist College. Shi Guang accepted the invitation of his classmates and prepared to enroll students for the second time in Nanputuo Temple. The second session of monks began in 1980, and there were many talents among them. /kloc-among the monks who graduated in 1983, Chang Chan, Lv Hui, Ru Ben, Ti Hui, Ying Hui, Jie Xing, Jing Zang and Zong Xing were all Honghua generals. Learn a monk in the hospital, Shi Guang earnestly warned:
It is better to build a big temple than to run a Buddhist college to train monks. Let's keep bodhicitta. If there is an opportunity in the future, we should run a good school. There are many Buddhist Dojo and few talents, so it is urgent to cultivate family members.
1984, Shi Guang became the abbot of Xizhi Baiyun Temple in Taipei, and was hired as the academic director of Lu Jing Temple Buddhist College in Lugu, Nantou. I went to Lv Jing Temple for more than a month, resigned due to illness, returned to Baiyun Temple to recuperate, and re-annotated the Bhikkhu Xieben. 1987, he suffered from a serious illness and was once critically ill. Fortunately, with the protection of Sambo, we escaped safely. Later, he retired from the seat of Baiyun Temple and was succeeded by Zongxing Master. He went to the Bodhi Refinery in Taichung to recuperate. 1May, 988, upon the suggestion of Master Guoqiang, the abbot of Nanputuo Temple, he became the abbot of Nanputuo Temple and continued to run the third session of the Buddhist College.
He is sixty-five years old. He settled down in the summer and was admitted to Taichung Veterans General Hospital for brain edema surgery. After the operation, he was in a coma for three days and was on the verge of death. However, his monastic desire was not realized, and he finally came to his senses. Only mobility is inconvenient, relying on people to help or in a wheelchair; And he is not good at words, and his speech depends on his disciples around him. Although Guanglao was sick and disabled, he overcame physical obstacles with strong willpower. During his illness, he continued to annotate "Notes on Becoming a Monk" until 1993, and the full text was annotated with three articles. When he was ill, he never stopped teaching himself. Dealing with the affairs of the Buddhist college makes the string songs in the hospital endless. The fourth session of the Buddhist College was opened in 199 1 and the fifth session was reopened in 1994.
1996, stone light abstains from abstinence and vows to keep the three precepts. In order to overcome the difficulties, Shi Guang devoted all the human and material resources of the temple to open the altar on March 12, and only 55 men were given the ring. The abstinence period is six months (usually 53 days or less), the abstinence elder is a karmic monk, the lawyer of Daohai is a professor monk, and Shi Guang is allowed to become a monk himself. Since he boarded the second altar, he preached the precepts of monks as a disabled person every day, and had two classes in the morning and evening with the public, revealing the secrets in person and inculcating them. Disciples advised him to cherish the Dharma Body, and the old monk only replied "Do my best".
Halfway through the abstinence period, on the morning of June 1, I made an end for the masses, stopped karma, and everything was as usual. After a while, I felt hot and cold, as if I had caught a cold. At the suggestion of all the disciples, I was admitted to the hospital for rest that day. On June 3, Guanglao called Nanputuo Temple and waited for the courtyard to explain the temple affairs one by one, and finally said:
Reward my heart, keep the precepts and recite the Buddha, and protect the Dojo; Respect for six things and harmony among the masses. Then said to himself:
Merits and demerits are complete, wishes are fulfilled, and there is no obstacle.
At noon on June 7, the old monk suddenly said, "Go back to Nanputuo and help me remember my death." In the afternoon, I left the hospital and returned to the temple. At midnight, I was silent in the chanting of everyone. Life is seventy-three, monks wax for forty summers and abstain from wax for thirty-eight summers.
