Examination content
The national judicial examination mainly tests the legal professional knowledge and the ability to engage in legal profession that candidates should possess.
The contents include: theoretical law, applied law, current legal provisions, legal practice and legal professional ethics.
Test paper topic
The score of each test paper is 150, and the specific subjects of the test paper are:
Test paper 1: Comprehensive knowledge. Including jurisprudence, legal history, constitution, economic law, international law, private international law, international economic law, legal professional ethics and professional responsibility;
Examination Paper 2: Criminal and Administrative Legal System. Including: criminal law, criminal procedure law, administrative law and administrative procedure law;
Examination paper 3: Civil and commercial legal system. Including: civil law, commercial law and civil procedure law (including arbitration system);
Test paper 4: Example (case) analysis, judicial documents and discussion. Including: subjects listed in test papers 1, 2 and 3.
The aforementioned test papers 1, 2 and 3 are machine-readable multiple-choice questions; Test paper 4 is a written example (case) analysis problem (including legal document writing).
Examination standard
How to determine test scores and grant qualifications?
The national judicial examination shall be graded uniformly throughout the country, and the results shall be announced by the National Judicial Examination Office of the Ministry of Justice. The results of the national judicial examination are valid once. Those who take part in the examination have objections to the examination results, and may apply for score verification according to the prescribed procedures.
Those who pass the national judicial examination shall be awarded the legal professional qualification certificate by the Ministry of Justice. Persons who have passed the examination and obtained legal professional qualification certificates shall meet the conditions stipulated in the revised Judges Law, Prosecutors Law and Lawyers Law when they serve as judges and prosecutors and apply for practicing as lawyers.

Persons who meet the following conditions may sign up for the national judicial examination:
(1), with China nationality;
(two) support the constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC), enjoy the right to vote and be elected;
(3) Having full capacity for civil conduct;
(4) It meets the academic qualifications and professional conditions stipulated in the Judges Law, the Public Prosecutor Law and the Lawyers Law;
(5) Good conduct.
According to the provisions of Article 9 of the Judges Law, Article 10 of the Prosecutors Law and Article 6 of the Lawyers Law on the appointment of judges and prosecutors and the qualifications of lawyers, the academic qualifications and professional requirements for enrolling in the national judicial examination mentioned in Item 4 above are as follows:
First, have a bachelor's degree or above in law major in colleges and universities, or have a bachelor's degree or above in other majors in colleges and universities and have legal professional knowledge;
Second, the Ministry of Justice, according to the principles and opinions formulated by the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Ministry of Justice on relaxing the academic qualifications of judges, prosecutors and lawyers, finds that it is indeed difficult to apply for the above academic qualifications, and can relax the academic qualifications for registration to a junior college degree in law within a certain period of time. According to Article 68 of the Higher Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the aforementioned institutions of higher learning refer to universities, independent colleges and junior colleges, including higher vocational schools and adult institutions of higher learning.
Invalid registration
In any of the following circumstances, you can't sign up for the exam. If you have gone through the registration procedures, the registration is invalid:

2. The original and photocopy of my valid ID card (resident ID card, military officer's card and soldier's card).

Applicants with academic qualifications from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and foreign institutions of higher learning must also submit the certificate of academic degree certification issued by the International Student Service Center of the Ministry of Education.
4. I recently took 3 photos with negative film 1 inch color bareheaded certificate. Where conditions permit, you can take photos by digital photography when you register.
5. Applicants should pay the registration fee when registering.
6. If registered in a different place, submit the temporary residence permit issued by the public security organ at the place of registration and the work and study (study) certificate issued by the relevant unit.
Graduates majoring in law in areas with relaxed registration qualifications who work and study (for further study) in different places must also submit the household registration certificate issued by the public security organ where they are registered.
The above registration materials are true and complete, and if they meet the registration conditions after verification, the judicial administrative organ shall issue an admission ticket.

The passing rate of judicial examination over the years: 6.68% in 2002, 8.75% in 2003,1.22% in 2004, 14.39% in 2005, 17% in 2006 and 2007.
