The cooperation between the two institutions is deepening, from disabled people's projects to intellectual property law.
First of all, Professor Yan 'an from the Law School of Renmin University of China introduced the death penalty system in China, including China's current attitude towards the death penalty and China's reform of the death penalty system (including criminal substantive law and criminal procedure law), and concluded that the protection of human rights in China's death penalty system is constantly improving.
Then, Associate Professor Cheng Lei introduced the situation of China's judicial system reform, including the reasons of China's judicial system reform, how to improve the independence of court trials from both internal and external aspects, and pointed out that judges should be given better professional protection from personal safety, career development opportunities, remuneration and other aspects.

After the lectures given by the three teachers, the students of the two houses raised some questions about the contents just now, including whether China will abolish the death penalty, the role of China jurists in the legal development of China, and anti-corruption issues. The teachers answered these questions one by one. After the seminar, Mr. James Chang, a Harvard alumnus, shared his practice experience in China, pointing out that the lawyer industry is a service industry, and China is a special and fast-developing market, and the needs of customers are changing with each passing day. Lawyers also need to be more creative and provide satisfactory legal services to their clients.
