Occupational requirements for education and training: Generally, it is required to graduate from the police academy and have a college degree or above. Work experience: Generally, more than 3 years of police experience are required. Police inspectors are generally promoted from criminal police, traffic police, patrol police, and household registration police through promotion. Generally, they are required to have more than 3 years of police experience.

The supervision agencies of the public security organs of local people's governments at or above the county level are responsible for supervising the performance of duties, exercise of powers, and compliance with discipline by the units affiliated to the public security organs at the same level and the public security organs at lower levels and their people's police. The supervisory agency of the first-level public security organ and the principal person in charge of the public security organ at the same level are responsible.
The supervision agencies of the public security organs of local people's governments at or above the county level are law enforcement service agencies, composed of full-time personnel, and implement the supervision team system.
