Yunlong County belongs to Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province. Located in the west of Yunnan Province, northwest of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture. It is located between 98 52 ′ ~ 99 46 ′ east longitude and 25 28 ′ ~ 26 23 ′ north latitude, with a total area of 4,400.95 square kilometers.
Yunlong County is the junction of Dali, Baoshan and Nujiang in the longitudinal valley of Lancang River in western Yunnan. Eryuan and Yangbi counties in the east, Yongping and Baoshan city in the south, Lushui county in the west and Jianchuan and Lanping county in the north.
Terrain:
Yunlong County is located in the longitudinal valley of Lancang River in western Yunnan at the southern end of Hengduan Mountains. Nushan, Yunling Branch, Lancang River and Xijiang River (the main tributaries of Lancang River) run through the whole territory from north to south, and Nujiang River passes around the western border. It belongs to mountainous terrain, and it is a broken and complicated landform with alternating valleys. The basic terrain is high in the east and low in the west, low in the middle and gradually decreasing from north to south.
