The responsibilities of the Legal Affairs Department (Legal Affairs Department) of the Public Security Bureau are:
1. Conduct legal review of normative documents issued by our bureau, and review normative documents submitted by superior departments and other departments Suggest modifications.
2. Review and report reeducation through labor cases.
3. Review and report juvenile crime cases.
4. Review the bureau’s decision to release criminal detention in criminal cases, review the use of bail pending trial and residential surveillance measures, and confiscate and return the bail pending trial bond.
5. Handle reconsideration, litigation and state compensation cases under the jurisdiction of this bureau, and organize hearings on administrative cases related to this bureau.
6. Review citizen complaints and appeals regarding law enforcement violations assigned by the bureau leaders and superiors, put forward handling opinions in accordance with the law and submit them to the bureau leaders for approval before implementation.
7. Organize quarterly assessments of the law enforcement quality of departments (units), institutes, and teams, be responsible for the assessment of the quality of law enforcement police, and provide guidance and supervision for administrative law enforcement and criminal law enforcement.
8. Responsible for law enforcement accountability and accountability for law enforcement errors.
9. Organize law enforcement inspections and legal research work.
10. Undertake other tasks assigned by leaders and superiors.
