Legal analysis: If it is necessary to apply for legal aid, the party concerned shall apply to the local legal aid agency. The application should be in written form and fill in the application form; if it is difficult to apply in written form, you can apply orally and have the staff of the legal aid agency forward it on your behalf or have the staff of the relevant agency apply on your behalf and keep a written record.
Legal basis: Article 15 of the Legal Aid Regulations. Persons listed in Article 11 of these Regulations who apply for legal aid shall apply to the legal aid institution where the people's court hearing the case is located. The detention center shall transfer the application of a criminal suspect in custody to the legal aid agency within 24 hours, and notify the applicant's legal representative or close relatives to assist in providing relevant documents and certificates required to apply for legal aid.
