Gutian County is located in the northeast of Fujian Province. Geographical coordinates are 2016'-20 53' north latitude and18 32'-19 24' east longitude. The total area is 2376.6 square kilometers. At the end of 2003, the registered population was 425,300, including 7 1.800 non-agricultural population. Gutian dialect is spoken in eastern Fujian (different from Fuzhou dialect, but generally the same).

The development of history
According to Fujian Tongzhi, Gutian County is adjacent to Gutian River, a tributary of Minjiang River. Another way of saying it is "those who have the ability are grateful, because they lived in ancient times, so they were named Gutian." Gutian map
In the 29th year of Tang Kaiyuan (74 1), Gutian County (alias Yutian) was located in the west of Houguan County, belonging to Fuzhou, Changle House, Fuzhou Road, Fuzhou House and Minhai Road. 1June, 949 14 was liberated. In 2000, it belonged to Nanping Special Zone, Minhou Special Zone, Fu 'an Region, Ningde Region and Ningde City. In 2003, Gutian County governed 8 towns and 7 townships: Xincheng, Pinghu, Da Qiao, huang tian zhen, Shuikou, Hetang, Yangshan, Fengdu, Songji, Jixiang, Hubin, Pan Yang, Feng Pu, Zhuoyang and Dajia.
On April 5, 2004, Fujian Provincial People's Government (document [2004] 106) approved the cancellation of the establishment of Chengdong Sub-district Office and Chengxi Sub-district Office in the new towns, Songji Township and Hubin Township of Gutian County; (1) cancelled the separation of the new towns, Songji Township, Hubin Township, Taoxi and Shiban Township of Fengdu Town of Gutian County. (2) Chengdong Sub-district Office is under the jurisdiction of Shengli, Wen 'an and Wenxing neighborhood committees in the original new urban area, and Taoxi, Shiban, Kengli and Luokeng in the original lakeside township. Chengdong Sub-district Office is located at 6 14 East Road, the former site of Hubin Township Government. (3) Chengxi Sub-district Office has jurisdiction over three community neighborhood committees of Wenhe, Qingyun and Xinxiu in the former new urban area and Luohua, Qianban, Songtai, Lianqiao, Xia Ju, Guanjiang, Suyangcuo, Huanzhong, Xia Huan, Zhao Ji, Guyangli, Luo Feng, Zaoping, Xiayang, Liandun, Badou and Anyang in the former Songji Township. Chengxi Sub-district Office is located in Luohua Village, Jiefang West Road.
_ Chengxi Sub-district Office is located in Luohua Village Courtyard (temporarily in the former songji Township Government). Direction of administrative boundary between Chengdong Sub-district Office and Chengxi Sub-district Office: The urban part starts from Xikou of slaughterhouse corner in the south, goes up along the river to Jianshe Road in Nanqiaojiao, and crosses Cross Street to Jiaoxinhua Road in the north along Jianshe Road. Go east along Xinhua Road to the intersection on the north side of the fire brigade camp, and go north to Houshan. On February 3rd, 20021year, the list of national "assured agricultural machinery" demonstration counties was released in 2020, and Gutian County was on the list.
On August 24th, 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs elected Gutian County as the pilot county of "internet plus" agricultural products leaving the village and entering the city.
In August of 20 19, the list of comprehensive demonstration counties of rural e-commerce in 20 19 was released, and Gutian county was on the list.
On February 20 16 16, Gutian county was included in the list of counties (cities, districts) with basically balanced development of compulsory education in China in 20 15.
