In order to adapt to the rapid development of Guangdong's economy, at the end of 1992, the People's Government of Guangdong Province approved the establishment of Guangdong Public Security Higher Specialized School on the basis of Guangdong Public Security and Judicial Administration Cadre College, and began to enroll law students in 1993. 1998, in order to adapt to the needs of the socio-economic development of the People's Government of Guangdong Province agreed to merge the Guangdong Provincial People's Police School into Guangdong Public Security Higher Specialized School.
