Who is the Department of Justice in Hong Kong?

The Chief Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is Yuan Guoqiang. Yuan Guoqiang, a senior lawyer in China and Hongkong, is a member of Guangdong Provincial Political Consultative Conference. Yuan Guoqiang graduated from 1986 Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong, obtained 1987 Law Certificate of the University of Hong Kong, and was admitted as a barrister. He started practicing on 1988. He used to be the Secretary for Justice of Hong Kong, and was awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal by the Hong Kong SAR Government on June 30th, 20 17. 20 18 was appointed as the first expert member of the international commercial expert Committee by the Supreme People's Court on August 24th. The Secretary for Justice is one of the three Policy Secretaries of the Government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Special Administrative Region. He is in charge of the Department of Justice and is responsible for the legal affairs of the Hong Kong Government, including initiating all criminal prosecutions, and ultimately prosecuting all crimes in Hong Kong, drafting all draft laws proposed by the Government and providing legal advice to the Hong Kong Government. He also chairs the Law Reform Commission.
