Procedures for Handling Road Traffic Accidents Article 40 If a party is suspected of committing a crime, the traffic administrative department of the public security organ may, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Procedures for Handling Criminal Cases by Public Security Organs, seize the motor vehicle driver's license and other articles and certificates related to the accident, and issue legal documents for seizure in accordance with regulations.
