Article 10 If a citizen needs to be represented in the following matters and does not have an agent due to financial difficulties, he may apply to the law Assistance agencies apply for legal aid:
(1) Request for compensation in accordance with the law;
(2) Request for social insurance benefits or minimum living security benefits
(3) Requesting for the payment of pensions and relief funds;
(4) Requesting for the payment of alimony, childcare and maintenance fees;
(5) Requesting for the payment of labor remuneration ;
(6) Citizens who claim civil rights and interests arising from acts of bravery and righteousness may make supplementary provisions on legal aid matters other than those provided for in the preceding paragraph. Apply for legal consultation from a legal aid agency for matters specified in paragraph 2.
Article 11 Citizens may apply for legal aid in criminal proceedings from a legal aid agency under any of the following circumstances:
(1) The criminal suspect did not hire a lawyer due to financial difficulties after the first interrogation by the investigative agency or from the date when compulsory measures were taken;
(2) Victims of public prosecution cases and their legal representatives . If a close relative fails to hire a lawyer due to financial difficulties from the date the case is transferred for review and prosecution to the date the case is transferred to the investigation agency, the close relative fails to retain a litigation agent due to financial difficulties. (3) The private prosecutor and his legal agent in a private prosecution case have not appointed a litigation agent due to financial difficulties since the day the case was accepted by the people's court.
