Can I become a lawyer after taking the lawyer's license?

After passing the legal professional qualification examination, you cannot directly practice as a lawyer. You need to practice in a law firm for one year to become a lawyer. Only by passing the exam can you qualify as a lawyer. If you want to be a lawyer, you must apply for a lawyer's practice certificate. According to the provisions of the Lawyers Law, an application for issuing a lawyer's practice certificate shall meet the following conditions:

(1) support our constitution;

(2) Obtaining the qualification as a lawyer;

(3) Internship in a law firm for one year;

(4) Good conduct.

In any of the following circumstances, a lawyer's practice certificate shall not be issued:

(1) No or limited capacity for civil conduct;

(2) Having been subjected to criminal punishment, except for negligent crimes;

(3) Being expelled from public office or having his lawyer's practice certificate revoked.

The national judicial examination is a qualification examination organized by the state to engage in a specific legal profession.

Newly appointed judges, prosecutors and lawyers must pass the national judicial examination.
